Latest Release: "The Queen"

In his latest single, Finn sings about the dangers of caring for someone who doesn't give him the time of day. He longs to feel unaffected by this person, referred to as "The Queen," but he is too often overtaken by his need to be accepted by her. Finn continues to forgive The Queen for her careless behavior time and time again, and diverts the blame no matter how small she makes him feel. Filled with resentment, he wishes The Queen would see him for the person he is. The quiet longing displayed in the first lyrics spirals into a desperate cry to be noticed and appreciated. Effectively capturing Finn's folk-rock songwriting style, "The Queen" is sure to resonate with anyone who has felt overlooked and underappreciated.

Artist Biography
Finn Hansbury is a folk-rock songwriter, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist currently based in Boston, Massachusetts. Drawing inspiration from musical and lyrical geniuses like Paul Simon, Hozier, and Brandi Carlile, Finn has a knack for pouring raw emotion into his work and pulling raw emotion out of his audiences. He uses his craft as a channel to express his innermost vulnerabilities without sugarcoating the truth, and it is this kind of honesty that draws people in. Finn’s intimate style of storytelling is one that both charms and haunts listeners, and he uses his proficiency on the guitar, piano, and saxophone to build captivating sonic landscapes.
Hailing from Bar Harbor, Maine, a small town on Mount Desert Island, Finn grew up relatively isolated from a lot of the world. Through his songwriting, he shares his unique perspective to connect with like-minded individuals while expanding the perspectives of others. Finn often writes about his experience as a queer person growing up in rural America, and seeks to connect with and empower the LGBTQ+ community through his work.
After a year in Michigan at Interlochen Arts Academy writing, recording, and touring the Midwest, Finn chose to further hone his craft at Berklee College of Music. He now records and performs with his band in Boston’s underground singer-songwriter scene. Finn is releasing more music in 2025 beginning with his first full-band single “The Queen,” which joined his first two releases on February 21st.
