About Finn Hansbury
Finn Hansbury is a folk-rock songwriter, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist currently based in Boston, Massachusetts. He draws inspiration from musical and lyrical geniuses like Paul Simon, Hozier, Joni Mitchell, Kevin Atwater, and Brandi Carlile. Finn uses his craft as a channel to express his innermost vulnerabilities without sugarcoating the truth, and it is this kind of honesty that draws people in. His intimate style of storytelling is one that both charms and haunts listeners, and he uses his proficiency on the guitar, piano, and saxophone to build captivating sonic landscapes.
Hailing from Bar Harbor, Maine, a small town on Mount Desert Island, Finn grew up relatively isolated from a lot of the world. Through his songwriting, he shares his unique perspective to connect with like-minded individuals and expand the perspectives of others. Finn often writes about his experience as a queer person growing up in rural America, and seeks to connect with and empower the LGBTQ+ community through his work.
After a year in Michigan at Interlochen Arts Academy writing, recording, and touring the Midwest, Finn chose to further hone his craft at Berklee College of Music. He now records and performs with his band in Boston’s underground singer-songwriter scene. Finn has three singles currently available on streaming platforms, and is releasing his debut EP this fall.
